Colchester Food & Drink Festival 2022

24 Karat appeared as an acoustic duo at the Colchester Food & Drink Festival on 25th June 2022.

Live Acoustic Duo

Vocalist Kiele and guitarist Paul delivered a 50 minute set to a great crowd at the event. The duo performed in the Coda tent, which also hosted other acts throughout the day. These included Fraser Morgan Band, Lianne Kaye & Black Cat Bone. Speaking of Coda, this is one of our favourite live music venues to perform at. Situated on the High Street in Colchester, you can find live music here every weekend, and it’s almost always free entry!

Acoustic Covers

The duo’s set started at 12pm and featured a number of their most requested songs from their acoustic repertoire. As a result, the live crowd heard “Budapest”, “Teenage Dirtbag” and “Free Fallin'” amongst other hit songs.

Amazing Cuisine

The Colchester Food & Drink Festival features over 110 stalls, bars and displays. Featuring local and global food and drink, there is something for every taste palette, including vegetarians and vegans. In fact, we decided to try some amazing vegan Caribbean food after our set. Adding to the atmosphere is the festival’s location in the picturesque Colchester Castle Park. Recently, Colchester gained City status. Subsequentially, this makes it the third city in the county of Essex.

Colchester Essex Acoustic Duo

This was 24K’s second appearance at the event, having performed here in 2021. Overall, we always have a great time at the festival. Above all, it always feels special to do a gig in the historic Castle Park. Moreover, we’d like to thank everyone at Coda for having us and making sure everything ran smoothly. Most importantly, we really appreciated the support from the crowd on the day.
